- Only a daily basis, the media informs us that there is something wrong with our current system of government and society as a whole. Society now expects the government to regulate private industries and their private lives. Is it necessary that the government should provide tax dollars to support failing companies in an attempt to bolster the economy? Is it necessary that the government step in and tell insurance companies how to run their business? How did we get to the point that political parties call each other names like racists and Nazis, both injurious terms that are beginning to lose their true meanings? By examining our government from its inception to its current state, I hope to figure out how we arrived to this point and whether this is what our forefathers intended.
